Another hip hop soldier working on the front lines. i’ve been hip hop since 1980. my moms bought me the Sugarhill Gang record back then and i never stopped listening. fast forward to the now im very much living my dream out. I’ve experienced things from a high and low perspective. To add to that, the Jungle World is also a part of me. how did i end up there? (i’ll blog about it). Pretty much im as real as life so shit aint never perfect. So like the many purposeful blogs out there i can only hope to inspire anyone who reads this thru my experiences, and hopefully give some needed positivity to an ailing world. And oh! I’m a very Talented lyricist/musician. An “MC” to be exact! Legendary in some grounds, new to many others. I Love this Shit! I Live this shit!…TRAC!

Sleepwalkas Reintroduce New York City to Hiphop With Five C’s at Sullivan Hall

NY, New York, March 29 – Two bona fide griots, (Ciph Diggy and K. Gaines) underground Hiphop legends in their own right, are guaranteed to reanimate the genre with their forthcoming release “Cookie Cutter Cornballs Can’t Cut It”. Joined by DJ, Emcee and producer M-Tri, The Smash Mechanics, Likwuid and more, Sleepwalkas invite you to celebrate with them at Sullivan Hall on April 14th at 10PM.

It’s been four years since “Insomnia”, and it seems sleep deprivation is an integral part of the fueling system for Sleepwalkas, who’s refusal to rest has paid off tremendous dividends in the form of major fan support and heightened anticipation for Five C’s. Collaborations on the album with Hiphop golden era icon Sadat X (of Brand Nubian) and new age indie rap phenom Homeboy Sandman solidify their credibility with Hiphop schools past and present.

Sleepwalkas’ power to invigorate audiences increased even more with the genius addition of veteran DJ M-Tri in 2010. All stellar showmen having more than a decade of experience and the uncanny ability to connect with even the most unpredictable audiences, this forthcoming CD release show will be nothing short of life changing for current fans, while the perfect introduction to a brand new audience seeking the next big thing. Sleepwalkas are the catalyst for change in the mindsets of those who have lost faith in the power of artists from New York. They’re the perfect men to revive the scene.

“Cookie Cutter Cornballs Can’t Cut It” CD Release Party will be hosted at Sullivan Hall, the premier venue for live music, concerts and events located on 214 Sullivan Street in Greenwhich Village. Attendees must be 18 or older to be admitted. Admission is $10.00 Show begins at 10:00 PM.
